Born in Cuba to a humble family, Niuvys Nunez dreamed of becoming a doctor from a young age. Fascinated by medical books, she developed an early passion for healing. As a child, she was already the go-to “doctor” in her neighborhood, offering advice even for pets. At just 17, she was admitted to Cuba’s most prestigious Medical University and began working in a hospital, which became her second home. At 35, she immigrated to the United States with her husband, children, a suitcase full of dreams, and above all, a heart full of gratitude to God. Arriving in a new country meant facing a new language, a new culture, and countless obstacles. But through unshakable faith and unwavering determination, Niuvys overcame every challenge with one goal in mind: to save lives once again.

 

Today, with over 20 years of experience in patient care, "the cuban doctor" continues to live her calling: serving others with skill, compassion, and purpose.
